Product Solutions

The AGAR MPFM is a non-nuclear, versatile, three-phase flow meter designed for true field conditions. It provides accurate, real-time measurements of oil, water and gas flows simultaneously without separation of the phases. Specially designed for low maintenance and ease of operation, they require no field calibration or prior knowledge of fluid properties (such as fluid density and salinity) to attain the specified accuracies. The real-time data capabilities of these meters allow for optimization of all types of critical production enhancement techniques.

  • Gas-lift operators use the meter as a diagnostic tool to find problems in the field such as choke manifold and lift valve failures.
  • Diluent injection operators use the MPFM to optimize injection rates and maximize heavy oil production.
  • The small foot print and ease of operation make it an ideal instrument for portable well testing.

Either truck or trailer mounted, it offers the most economical alternative to potable well test separator systems. With over 100 installations worldwide the AGAR MPFM has been tried and tested and has proven its performance for high accuracy and reliability.

The AGAR MPFM-50 is a multiphase flow meter that provides on-line, real-time well production information for the entire production flow stream from liquids with gas under-carry to wet gas (liquid over-carry); i.e. 0 - 100% Gas Volume Fraction. It is also the only meter which currently is unaffected by flow regimes. It eliminates the need for expensive, secondary equipment such as phase separators, valves, and pumps for flow measurement. The MPFM-50 Series is fully self-contained and compact for use in rugged field conditions.

Water Cut Analyzer

Agar's OW-200 series is a second-generation design, microwave based liquid/liquid analyzer developed by Agar Canada after introducing the first 0-100% water cut monitor to the market in 1985.

The OW 200 Series watercut monitors, consisting of the OW-201 and the OW-202 monitors, utilize a microwave transmitter (2.45 Gigahertz) to measure bulk dielectric properties of the flow stream. They measure hydrocarbon/water mixtures over the full range of 0-100%, regardless of the continuous phase. Unlike other microwave, density or capacitance based instruments; Agar's Oil/Watercut Monitors are the only devices in which the accuracy of the measurement is not affected by changes in salinity, density, viscosity, temperature or velocity of the components being analyzed. In addition, the high frequency signal will maintain accuracy in the presence of process coatings that would be detrimental to optical instruments.

The OW-300 series utilizes a combination of explosion proof type enclosures and intrinsically safe electronics that provide signal outputs/inputs to the probe. The DAS is also a flow computer that can provide net oil, net water and flow rates when a flow meter input is supplied. The data system is transmitted with 4-20mA signals, HART and Modbus.

Interface Detector - ID Series 201, 202 and 205:
